SOLD: Sailor Sapporo Lim. Ed. Blue – Zoom nib

SOLD!

In Japan there is a fountain pen and stationery magazine called “Shumi no Bungu Bako” or 「趣味の文具箱」 in Japanese characters.  They occasionally have limited edition pens made by Sailor.  This is one of those pens.

Here it is:

This is a Limited Edition color that comes as a complete set with a convertor and a Sailor pen case.  This pen is number 23 out of 50 and it is marked on the nib.  The color looks very dark, like a dark blue or navy, however in bright light it becomes a little more purple.  When bright light is shone on it you can see sparkles in the finish.  It is quite marvelous.

The nib on this pen is very unique.  It is called a zoom nib.  When writing with a normal hand it writes a fairly broad line.  When you increase writing angle it makes the line thinner and thinner.  I would say it goes from F to B (or BB) depending on writing angle.

I think this kind of nib would be great for someone who prefers a broad nib for day to day writing but occasionally needs to write with a thinner line.  It may also be great for someone sketching with a fountain pen.

I am asking ¥15,500 ¥11,500 for this pen (currently around $92.75).  This includes everything in the pictures above.  Shipping is free.  If you purchase another pen, I can reduce the price slightly.
