SOLD: Pilot Custom Heritage 92 – Clear – Fine

SOLD!

Here it is:  Pilot Custom Heritage 92.  Clear.  14k Fine #5 nib (1211 – Dec. 2011).  It is Pilot’s entry in the Piston Filler market.

Have you ever used a piston filler?  If you have then skip to the pictures.  If not, this is it.  A piston filler is a pen that holds the ink internally without a cartridge or convertor.  The advantage of a piston filler is that the pen can hold more ink.  The other advantage is that you can use bottled ink.  There are hundreds of colors available!  The disadvantage is that you need to use bottled ink.  What I mean is that you can not refill the pen quickly, anywhere, like you can with a cartridge.

To fill this pen you twist the end of the body.  That will make the internal piston move forward.  If there is ink in the pen when you twist it, it will spill out.  Be careful!  Once you have moved the piston all the way forward you need to put the nib in the ink bottle and twist the end of the pen the other way.  That will move the piston back and draw ink into the pen.

This one is in excellent condition.  There are no major blemishes or scratches on it.  The clip is also in excellent condition.  The piston moves very smoothly.  There is a little moisture in the body area but this is normal and should not cause any problems.

The retail price is ¥15,750.  The ebay price is around ¥13,800 new.

I am asking ¥8,600 (currently around $84.00).  That is just for the pen.  I do not have vials to include ink samples.  Sorry.  I am willing to add two Pilot ink cartridges (including iroshizuku) but they can not be used in this pen*.

If you spend ¥5000-9999, I will pay half the shipping.  If you spend ¥10,000+ shipping is free.

If you have any questions please leave a comment.

If you would like to buy this pen, please leave a comment or send mail to tomattarashinu@gmail.com.

*Note:  The ink can be used in this pen but you will need another Pilot pen to open the cartridge up.  You will also need an ink syringe to move the ink from the cartridge to this pen.  It is not for a beginner.  You will need to remove the nib and feed to add ink with a syringe.
