SOLD: 1970’s Pilot Short Pen

Today I have a fantastic short Pilot pen.  Also called “Big cap”, pocket pens, “Long short” or short pens.

This one is is great condition.  The section and body are scratch free.  The cap has a few small scratches in the clear coat.  The worst scratches are in the pictures below.  The clip also has some dings and scuffs on it.  It is ordinary wear and tear.

This pen has a 14K Fine nib.  It writes really well.  There is a slight scratchy sound but it feels ok.  That is often typical of these lower cost F nib pens.  I did not disassemble this pen so I do not know the production date.  I believe it to be early to mid 1970’s.

This pen writes with a fine line that is pretty wet.  It is very lightweight.  This would make a good pen for a student.  The fine line is great for note taking.  When posted it is even great for people with large hands (like me!).

This pen can be used with a CON-20 convertor but it is not included.  It is not possible to use the 50 or 70.

I am asking ¥1300 yen for this pen.  The price includes the pen and 2 cartridges of your choice.  You will be responsible for shipping.  (Please see the FAQ for more info.)  I do not have a box or any additional paperwork for this pen.

If you would like a CON-20 please add ¥250.  If you would like additional cartridges please ask about the price.  If you would like anything else, please ask.

At today’s exchange rate that is about $14.00 for the pen or $16.70 with the convertor.
