SOLD: Burgundy Platinum Short Pen

This is a Platinum Pocket pen with an aluminum body and a burgundy section.  The nib is marked with the Platinum lowercase “p” logo.  It is also labeled 細軟 which means “Soft Fine”.  Do not be confused – This is not by any means a flex nib.  In fact I have seen other fine nibs with better line variation.  I am not sure why this pen is labeled soft.

Here it is:

This shot is a close up to show the condition.  It looks like it might be dirty but I think it is partially dirty and partially the reflection of light on the tiny scratches.  I did try polishing it up with a dry cloth and a dry toothbrush.  I think you may be able to make it look a bit nicer by using a polishing compound but it is not too noticeable unless you look carefully.  It didn’t bother me.

This pen originally sold for ¥3000 in the (I believe) 1970’s.

I am asking ¥2000 for this pen.  There are no convertors available for this pen.  The platinum piston convertor will fit in this pen with modification but can not be filled completely.  You are better off using Platinum cartridges or refilling cartridges with an ink syringe.  I will include one pack of cartridges with this pen.  Platinum offers 9 colors (Black, blue black, red, pink, violet, yellow, green, light blue and brown), you can choose one.  If you would like more it will be $1.50 US per pack.  One pack contains two cartridges.

I can also pick up some Carbon Black or Pigment Blue cartridges for you to use with this pen.  You will have to ask about the price.  I do not have that information available right now.
